Rich and Sticky Treacle Tart, Serves 6 to 8
Deliciously sticky and rich treacle tart. Not for the faint of heart! Crisp and crumbly pastry holds a delicious filling made with Golden Syrup, breadcrumbs and lemon zest. Serve it hot or cold, as a dessert, or afternoon snack. Goes beautifully with the decadent home-made ginger ice cream, or with double cream.
The tart stores well for up to 5 days, so can serve 4 twice- if you can wait that long!
