Amazing day with Sal, from La Cucina Italia at the Cherry Tree in Haddenham! First formal promotion of Gooey Puds, so nerves were present and plentiful!
Met some amazing people, all loved Sal's amazing goats cheese pasta, with pesto dressing and hazelnuts, her baked cod, wrapped in pancetta, with lemon potatoes and olives. Honestly, check her out at www.lacucinaitaliana.info, her food is bloomin' lovely!
I served a trio for dessert- Sicilian Lemon Posset, Chocolate Tart alla Nonna and finally a whipped Italian Cheesecake with a Caramel sauce. All of which went down incredibly well! Most surprisingly, the posset and the cheesecake tied! Needless to say, I will be adding the tart and the whipped cheesecake to the website for you people to try, but give me a moment, it has been a busy, but lovely few days planning and making lovely puds, and time for a glass of wine with a very good friend [obviously, there is always time for that!]
